What documents do I need to sell my vehicle on Car-Ma?
To sell your vehicle on Car-Ma, you'll need to provide certain documents to ensure the sale is legal and to verify your identity.
When profiling your vehicle
Service history
When profiling your car, you'll be prompted to upload images of your service history documents. These documents help us calculate an appropriate reserve price that reflects your vehicle's quality and condition. A full service history provides dealers with a comprehensive overview of the vehicle's upkeep and overall condition.
During the online daily sale
When your vehicle is in our sale, we require the following documents. You can upload these as photos using your smartphone or a home scanner:
Driving licence:
- We need a current driving licence—expired documents are not accepted.
- Only upload a photo of the front of the document.
- Your licence must match the name and address on your V5C logbook.
- Driving licences can be issued in any country, and a provisional licence is also accepted as a valid ID.
V5C logbook:
- Please upload the first three pages of your V5C logbook.
Bank details:
- We will only share your bank details with a dealer once you’ve confirmed a sale with them, ensuring fast payment.
Finance settlement letter (if applicable):
- If your vehicle has outstanding finance, please provide a finance settlement letter. This document must be valid for at least ten days from the date you upload it.
